Volunteer Opportunities

The Consortium is always looking for volunteers to help us with basic office responsibilities – answering phones, preparing mailings, packing condoms, etc. If you have a flexible daytime schedule, please let us know. Any time you can volunteer would be greatly appreciated. Please  complete the form below, and we’ll be in touch:

The following events require volunteers:

WOW Awards Celebration

Volunteers needed before event: securing silent auction donations, in-kind food/beverage donations, selling tickets, setting up event and decorations, picking up donations and making deliveries, stuffing envelopes and assisting with mailings, preparing signs and decorations.

Volunteers needed during the event: Band/entertainment, photographer, silent auction attendants, guest registration, silent auction checkout and clean-up help.


AIDS Walk Delaware

Volunteers needed before event: Help with building teams, hanging AIDS Walk posters, calling team captains, seeking sponsors, and other general event planning duties.

Volunteers needed during event: Help with event set-up and clean-up, crossing guard/route attendants, help with walker registration and handing out prizes, and much more.

“Easy As Pie” Thanksgiving Fundraiser

Volunteers needed before event: Help with promoting pie sales and getting new schools and churches to join the fundraiser, attending events to promote the fundraiser and take orders for pies, hanging posters, help with mailings.

Volunteers needed during event: Pick up pies from local bakers on Tuesday before Thanksgiving, deliver pies to distribution centers, hand out pre-purchased pies for the Consortium at our distribution location in the Community Service Building’s parking garage.

In addition to these three main fundraisers we have additional programs and events that occur throughout the year that could always use volunteer help. We have occasional mailings that may require folding papers and stuffing envelopes, and applying address labels and stamps.
